Iraq War: Tony Blair – War Criminal or just a liar?
YouGov poll confirms 23% think Blair should be tried for War Crimes!
A YouGov poll in today’s Sunday Times reveals that 52% feel that Tony Blair deliberately misled the country over the Iraqi war. That to me reads that over half think he lied about the reasons and justifications to go to war. And 23% feel that he should be tried for war crimes.
Blair will soon being ‘justifying’ the war soon when he gives his ‘evidence’ to the Iraqi War inquiry. As a comparison, I was thinking about how there has been uproar over the Tiger Woods affair, or should I say affairs. Ever since his wife tried to club him to death with a five iron that infamous night, the comments have been rife. The newspapers covering every angle, young blonde pole dancers coming out of the woodwork saying they were also involved – and that they will be releasing a book and film in the summer.
The connection? Well, there’s one wife, quite rightly furious and upset about her husband’s betrayal and then Cherie Blair still married to a man who not only betrayed the country, lead hundreds of servicemen to their death, and god knows how many thousand of Iraqi were killed. And all that by being a spineless Yankee puppet.
After the event, Tiger Woods apologies and goes to ground and Blair earns millions from publice speaking, photos and interviews.
Woods actions will cost him his marriage, Blair’s actions have cost thousands of lives.
Better if the press and indeed we British focused on the real betrayal.
This is Tony Blair’s Christmas message video. Note the words ‘Care for our earth and our fellow humans’. I just love the way religious belief justifies war. But hasn’t that always been the case?Hypocrite.
The headline SHOULD read – 77% think Blair should NOT be tried for war crimes. See my recent posts on this for the REAL facts.

I note from your blog the words ‘I am no longer at the stage of accepting critical comment on the Prime Minister, and I no longer apologise for that’
Don’t dish it out if you are not prepared to take it.
Yes statistics can be twisted for personal/political gain. Just like Iraq being able to launch WMD’s in 45 mins. Now, who sold us that?
You’re right about those words. I had forgotten about them. I should get rid of them now. I do publish well-argued criticism, and as they say “WE ALL KNOW” it all by now, don’t we?
Still, that was near the start of the blog when I was getting all the abuse I might have expected from the coarse-mouthed such as the Guido Fawkes squad of hangers and floggers. They stopped coming when they realised they’d get a debate at my blog. Debate is not what they’re after.
45 minutes? And who said “we accept that that was inaccurate” also in parliament?
I’m for leaving the inquiry to do their job, while the people of Iraq get on with their new democratic lives, and thank us for it. As history will.
I expect you KNOW ALL ABOUT FUTURE HISTORY AND THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ, AND THE INQUIRY’S JOB TOO?
