Support the Campaign for the freedom to take Photos!

A couple of days ago I dusted down my Fuji s9600 and invested in a wide angle conversion lens. I don’t use the camera much but thought I must start using it more this year and over the last few days, with crisp winter sunshine, I have taken some nice photos. A few of the dog and a few of the lovely coastline where I live. Mustn’t just rely on the camera’s Auto setting and start tinkering with shutter speed and aperture. I just wish the dog would stay still!

Facebook Wootton Bassett March Campaign: Politicians take note!

Further to my recent post about the vile proposition of extremists marching through Wootton Bassett, over 738,000 people joined this campaign on Facebook. However, today it seems that Islam4uk has stated that the proposed march will not take place.

What the Facebook campaign demonstrated is how powerful social networks can be in bringing together like minded souls. Thousands were up in arms that our society and indeed, the town of Wootton Bassett could be hijacked by a small group of people with extremists views.

But what the group also revealed was that itself was hijacked by people who, themselves, have extreme and racist views. Of course this was not the intention of the group and such comments were not tolerated but they did occur. So it begs the question which is worse? In the same way that Islam has been hijacked by extremists, the same thing then happens to a genuine public demonstration.

Free Speech! Wootton Bassett and the extremist islamic march

Free speech..God, I love free speech!

Such a British thing. In fact I would go as far as to say that we invented it. So the Christmas tree is back in the garden. There is just a little turkey left along with a fridge full of sprouts. And, to be honest I am getting slightly bored of bubble and squeak. In all, another successful, restful Christmas.

But today reality strikes. This green and pleasant land harbours Muslim extremists who thought it would be a great, popular, idea to march through Wootton Bassett, oh, whilst carrying empty coffins.

The True Meaning Of Christmas In Britain

Oh, Father I have sinned. Your telling me, that bloody hurts!

The true meaning of Christmas? Well, I don’t want to go too deep here on this one but I was listening to BBC 5 Live today and I heard two different stories about society in Britain at this festive time.

Christmas is about religion, faith, the principles laid down by the church. The remembrance of the death of Jesus Christ. A time for families to get together to celebrate and give gifts. Share the love.

Firstly, let’s not forget the thousands of British forces personnel that won’t be with their families this Christmas. And, the brave job they are doing. So using that as a backdrop we then get some jackass called the Father Tim Jones, from St. Hilda in York, telling his flock of sheep that it acceptable to shoplift. That poor and vulnerable people should shoplift…steal.

My Candy Gas Hob – The nightmare repair service!

Posted in Business/Economy, Society on December 17th, 2009 by admin – 1 Comment

What I love about this country is that you can get quality goods, reliable customer service and reputable tradesman. No…of course you can’t and they wonder why Britain is the last of the ‘big’ economies to come out of the recession.

Before I get onto the gas hob, I apoligise for any grammar or spelling errors. It’s just that there is a bunch of delinquent, ignorant ape like muppets making a racket whilst putting in cavity wall insulation next door. And that’s another con if ever I saw one. But that’s another story.
